Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I wanted to reach out to you now that the season is over and we are well into the planning for next season and upcoming years. As we do at the end of every year, you will receive an annual report reviewing the activities at the ISMF. However, before our Plenary Assembly in Paris, I wanted to inform you about a few organisational changes we are implementing.
We have announced several times that we need to professionalize our structures. In the fall of 2022, the Council decided to gradually expand the organization as follows:
- General/Administrative Manager and a Deputy General/Administrative Manager
- Sport & Events Manager and a Deputy Sport & Events Manager
- Marketing & Communication Manager
As first steps, at the beginning of the 2022/23 season we retained a Sport & Events Manager and a Deputy General/Administrative Manager was appointed.
To continue the development of the structure, while considering our financial capacity, the Council decided at the meeting of 03.03.2023 to open the position of a Marketing & Communication Manager.
The process of selection for this position was successfully completed. Jordi Millastre Costa was elected by the Council on 22.06.2023 and will join the ISMF team on 01.07.2023. We wish him all the best in this important role.
In order to deliver our primary product –the World Cup races– on an even higher-quality level, the Sports Department will be strengthened with a Deputy Sport and Events Manager. We are in the middle of a selection process and are reviewing several qualified candidates.
In an effort to optimize the organization and better service our key constituents, the Council has approved an adjustment of the ISMF structure for the new fiscal year:
The General/Administrative Management department will become the Administration & Human Resources Management department and many tasks that were previously the responsibility of the General Manager will now be assumed by the Marketing & Communication Manager, the Sport & Events Manager and Deputy Sport & Events Manager. Under this new structure, we are dissolving the position of General Manager, occupied by Roberto Cavallo.
Roberto was the General Manager from 2017 until end of June 2023, having previously served as General Secretary from 2011 to 2017. During this time, our Federation has experienced strong growth. We take this opportunity to thank him for his years of dedication to the ISMF and wish him all the best for the future.
Giulia Avagnina who is Deputy General and Administration Manager until the end of June, will be the Head of the Administration & Human Resources department starting 01.07.2023.
From 1st July until the electoral process to be held at the 2023 Plenary Assembly, the structure of the ISMF with the corresponding contact persons will be as follows:
