Bormio, 1 February 2024 – For the second consecutive year, the younger generation of skimo athletes have a series of events included in the ISMF circuit to give them as many racing opportunities as possible, to prepare them for competing at the highest level. And this weekend, the best of the best of these rising stars will gather in Bormio, Italy, for the second stop of the ISMF Youth World Cup this year: the Alta Valtellina Ski Race, with a Sprint and a Mixed Relay race on the schedule.

Nestled in the heart of the spectacular Valtellina Valley, this historic town is set to host a thrilling showcase of youthful prowess in the exhilarating world of ski mountaineering.

Some of the more promising young athletes of the U20 category, like Louise Trincaz (FRA), Lea Hancion Havet (AND), Clizia Vallet (ITA), Jules Raybaud (FRA), Hermann Debertolis (ITA) or Erik Canovi (ITA), just to name a few, are ready to prove once again that can perform at their best under stress.

On the U18 category, also some well known names are ready to toe the start line this weekend, including recently crowned queen of the European championships Laia Selles (ESP), and other medallists like Vanessa Marca (ITA), Lynn Pollinger (SUI), Enricco Pellegrini (ITA), Theo Voutaz (FRA) or Inigo Velazquez (ESP).

The Alta Valtellina Ski Race promises to be a mesmerizing spectacle, featuring the rising stars of the sport who will undoubtedly leave spectators in awe of their skill, determination, and passion for ski mountaineering.
