We are proud to announce that our President, Regula Meier, and our Secretary General, Jordi Canals, actively participated in the 142nd session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) held in Paris on July 23 and 24, 2024. Their attendance underscores our commitment to international sports collaboration and the Olympic movement.
During this session, it was announced that the French Alps are set to host the XXVI Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in 2030. This decision was taken by the IOC Members today, subject to the submission of the Games Delivery Guarantee within the timelines set by the IOC Executive Board. This was necessary due to constitutional reasons within the current political context in France, which prevented submission before the host election.
Additionally, it was decided that Salt Lake City, Utah, will host the XXVII Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in 2034. This decision was also made by the IOC Members during the 142nd IOC Session in Paris.
We look forward to these future Winter Games and the continued celebration of athletic excellence and international unity they represent.
