The General Assembly of the Winter Olympic Federations (WOF) has officially approved the application of the International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF) for membership on 21 October 2024. The ISMF is now an Associate Member of the WOF, following the inclusion of ski mountaineering in the Olympic Programme for the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Games.
