ISMF season 2024/25 – Calendar update

Lausanne, 16 November 2024

Following the recent ISMF Council meeting, we kindly inform you that the ISMF calendar 2024/25 has undergone some adjustments, which are summarised as follows:

  • Confirmation of the ISMF Masters World Championships to be held in the location of Werfenweng, Austria on 11 and 12 January 2025
  • Change of discipline at the ISMF Youth World Cup in Crévacol – Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses, Italy (21 and 22 December 2024) from Mixed Relay race to Vertical race due to a request from the Sci Club Gran San Bernardo A.S.D. (LOC) and Federazione Italiana Sport Invernali (FISI)
  • Addition of a Sprint race at the ISMF Youth World Cup in Malinô Brdo, Slovakia (6, 7 and 9 February 2025) with consequent extension of event’s duration and change in the order of the disciplines according to a request from the YWC Malinô Brdo (LOC) and Slovak Skimountaineering Association (SSA). Please find below the reasons of these updates:
  • The new director of Malinô Brdo ski resort announced only a few weeks ago that the ski resort is no longer available to stage the Individual race on Saturday (8 February 2025).
  • During the preparation phase, the YWC Malinô Brdo (LOC) and Slovak Skimountaineering Association (SSA) learned that the financial contribution from the local government is related to the organisation of at least one Olympic discipline.
  • The intention of extension of the dates and to hold 3 disciplines (Individual, Vertical and Sprint) is to ensure a good balance among the disciplines on the Youth World Cup circuit.

You can find the updates on the ISMF website, where the calendar is available at any time.
