ITA July monthly webinar is dedicated to “Mental Health in Sport”.
This webinar featuring Camille Cheng, a three-time Olympic swimmer and seven-time Asian Games medallist from Hong Kong and an IOC Mental Health Ambassador, will delve into the topic of mental health in sport.
A 2022 vulnerabilities report published by the World Anti-Doping Agency infers that athletes experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges may be more susceptible to doping as a way to cope with pressure, meet expectations, or achieve goals – especially if they lack healthy coping mechanisms.
Camille will share her experiences of mental health in relation to and beyond her sporting journey, providing valuable insights and advice for athletes and their support teams.
