Extraordinary Plenary Assembly of ISMF approves the budget of the anti-doping activities for 2024/25 and 2025/26

 

Lausanne, 5 March 2024 – The International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF) held an Extraordinary Plenary Assembly on Monday, March 4, 2024. The Assembly, held in virtual mode, saw the participation of 33 registered National Members, marking a significant turnout from member nations across the globe.

The ISMF President Regula Meier did an exaustive introduction and explanation of the anti-doping situation over the years, which was then followed by a Q&A session led by the President.

This interactive session further exemplified the spirit of collaboration and open communication that defines the ISMF community.

The President of the Compliance Office managed the roll call and voting process, ensuring transparency and adherence to procedural protocols outlined in the ISMF Statutes (art. 19.2 of the ISMF Statutes).

The proposal from the ISMF Council of increasing the budget spent on anti-doping activities for 2024/25 and 2025/26 – the main subject on the agenda of the day – was unanimously approved.

As final remarks, the ISMF President thanked the National Members for their commitment in the  fight against doping and their participation showing the strength of the ISMF community.
