A fierce battle between the top teams
The final featured the 12 qualified teams: Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, and USA.
In the opening uphill section, Spain’s Ana Alonso Rodriguez set a strong pace and took the early lead, closely followed by Switzerland’s Marianne Fatton. Italy’s Alba De Silvestro, Austria’s Johanna Hiemer, France’s Célia Perillat-Pessey, and Canada’s Emma Cook-Clarke.
