Lausanne, 7 February 2025 – Jointly with the Local Organising Committee, the ISMF is pleased to confirm the race event to be held in Morgins, Switzerland, from 2 to 8 March 2025.

Registration:
The registration process for the races at the ISMF World Championships in Morgins will be open until Monday 24 February 2025 at h. 11:59 AM CET.
You can register your athletes through the ISMF intranet by clicking on the “Registration” button in the top menu bar.
Before registering in any ISMF World Cup or Championships, athletes must have their own valid ISMF licence. You can check the current valid licences on the ISMF intranet.

Information on bonuses and quotas:
The ISMF kindly reminds that for the World Championships there is a maximum quota of participants for each category (Men & Women) for each race (ISMF Rules & Guidelines 2024/25 – article 23.3.1. – available here). However, it is possible to find the quotas summarised as follows:
Individual, Sprint and Vertical races:
- Senior: 4 M and 4 W
- U23: 3 M and 3 W (total of 7 Senior M and 7 Senior W)
- U20: 4 M and 4 W
- U18: 4 M and 4 W
Team race:
- Senior: 4 teams M + 4 teams W
Mixed Relay race:
- Senior: 3 teams
- Youth: 2 teams
In addition, the ISMF points out that the title of a World Champion grants a bonus quota to the NM in the corresponding discipline for the following respective Championship as follows:
- Individual, Sprint, Vertical and Team races: Rankings of the last ISMF World Championships (2023 – Boí Taüll WCH) will be taken into account.
- Mixed Relay race: There will be no bonus, as per ISMF Rules & Guidelines.

Furthermore, the ISMF kindly reminds that for the World Championships NMs have to make a global registration before the event. Afterwards, coaches can modify the registrations as follows:
THE DAY BEFORE EACH RACE:
- The day before each race, from 13:00 to 14:00: possibility to register additional athletes at the race office (registration fee + penalty fee of 100% – amount to be paid in € in cash).
- The day before each race, from 13:00 to 14:00: possibility to replace athletes (already registered in the World Championships) at the race office for free.
COMPOSITION OF THE TEAMS:
Mixed Relay race:
The composition of the teams taking part in the scheduled Mixed Relay race has to be communicated on the WhatsApp group named “Morgins WCH 2025 – National Teams” no later than Sunday 2 March 2025 at 12:00 CET.
As per ISMF Rules & Guidelines 2024/25 (article 27.1. – available here), the composition of the teams for the Mixed Relay has to be as follows:
- Youth: 1 (U20M or U18M) and 1 (U20W or U18W)
- Senior: 1 (SM or U20M or U18M) and 1 (SW or U20W or U18W)
At World Championships, U20 athletes will be able to choose for each single race the category in which they want to participate.
At World Championships, U18 athletes are allowed to participate in either but not both the Youth and the Senior category for Mixed Relay race. Therefore, they have to choose the category (Senior or Youth) for the relay race in which they want to participate when confirming the team’s composition.
The order can be either W-M-W-M or M-W-M-W. The ISMF Race Jury will decide the best option to be communicated during the TCM of the previous day.
The composition of the team cannot change from the qualification phase to the final.
The ISMF reminds that, at the World Championships, each nation may have a maximum quota of one team in Final B, as is already the case for the final A.
Team race:
The composition of the teams taking part in the scheduled Team race has to be communicated on the WhatsApp group named “Morgins WCH 2025 – National Teams” on Friday 7 March 2025 from 12:00 to 13:30 CET indicating the names of the athletes competing for each team (SW + SW / SM + SM) and also the order of the teams (NF 1 + NF 2).
