The WÜRTH MODYF ISMF European Championships are officially confirmed

 

Lausanne, 21 December 2023 – Jointly with the Local Organising Committee, the ISMF is pleased to confirm the European Championships to be held in Flaine & Chamonix, France, from 7 to 12 January 2024.

Technical information:

Registrations & quotas:

The registration process for the European Championships races will be open until Monday 1 January 2024 at h. 23:59 CET.

Please respect the given deadline, because after that date registrations will be no longer possible!

You can register your athletes at the following link: www.dataskimo.org by clicking on the “Registration” button in the top menu bar.

Before registering in any ISMF World Cup or Championships, athletes must have their own valid ISMF licence. You can check the current valid licences here.

The ISMF kindly reminds that for the European Championships there is a maximum quota of participants for each category (Men & Women) for each race (please refer to the fourth roll-out of the ISMF Rules & Guidelines at page 153). However, you can find the quotas summarised as follows:

  • Individual, Sprint and Vertical races:

− Senior: 4 M and 4 W

− U23: 3 M and 3 W (total of 7 Senior M and 7 Senior W)

− U20: 4 M and 4 W

− U18: 4 M and 4 W

  • Mixed Relay race:

− Senior: 3 teams

− Youth: 2 teams

 

In relation to quotas, the ISMF points out that there will be the bonus of an additional registration for each gold medal awarded at the ISMF European Championships 2022 held in Boí Taüll in the same category of pertinence as follows:

There will be no bonus, as per ISMF Rules & Guidelines

 

Furthermore, as per ISMF Rules & Guidelines, the ISMF informs that for the European Championships each National Member has to make a global registration before the event. Afterwards, coaches can modify the registrations as follows:

THE DAY BEFORE EACH RACE:

  • The day before each race, from 12:30 to 13:30: possibility to register additional athletes to the ISMF Event Coordinator, Mr. Josef Gruber, at the race office (penalty of 100% in addition to the registration fee – amount to be paid in € in cash). Additional athletes will have the last bib numbers.
  • The day before each race, from 12:30 to 13:30: possibility to replace athletes to the ISMF Event Coordinator, Mr. Josef Gruber, at the race office (already registered in the European Championships) for free.
  • For Vertical race only: the addition or replacement of athletes will only be possible on Tuesday no later than 18:00 CET.

COMPOSITION OF THE TEAMS FOR THE MIXED RELAY RACE:

The composition of the teams taking part in the scheduled Mixed Relay race has to be communicated in the WhatsApp group named “EUCH – National Teams” no later than Thursday 11 January 2024 until 13:30.

Please note that for the European Championships 2024 the registration of U18 athletes born in 2006 and U20 athletes is allowed for Senior Mixed Relay race. These athletes can only participate in one Relay Race, either Youth or Senior.
